The highest peak of the Cerkljansko mountain range with an attractive view of the surrounding hills. The southern and western slopes are dotted with mountain flowers, whereas the northern and eastern are covered with forests. At the peak a labyrinth of underground tunnels connects fortifications on the northern and eastern slopes of Porezen, which were part of a system of Italian fortifications called the Alps Wall (Vallo Alpino). They were built before the 2nd World War in the areas which bordered onto the Monarchy of Yugoslavia.
The easiest access to Porezen is from Petrovo Brdo (2h30) or Davča (2h).
Just below the peak is the Dom na Poreznu mountain hut.
