A settlement between Baška Grapa and the Selška valley lye on the watershed ridge between the Soča and Sava rivers. The ridge connects Slatnik (1600 m) on the north with Porezen (1630 m) on the south. The towns of Železniki and Podbrdo are connected by a road from which another splits-off for Sorica flanked by renovated brick houses in the local style: Below the village is a tributary of the Bača river called Mlečni potok dammed by a hydroeelctric power plant and the Zadnja Sora stream flowing into the Selška Sora river. In 1951 a tuberculosis recuperation centre was opened in a former army barracks which has now been converted into a retirement home.
